Election should be Neutral of all cast and religion. After all we are a Secular State. And seeking vote on the name of cast and religion go against the very spirit of free and fair election and at times it is a blot on our constitutional principle.

I tend to agree with minority decision.

I think it's fair to pursue one's interest through polity without affecting the interests of others.

Our constitution itself reserved seats to SCs and STs for them to provide an opportunity to group politically to pursue their uplifment.

Similarly I think it's only fair for language groups or cultural groups to pursue their interest by seeking votes based on what they believe in without turning it into a hate speech.

Politics is nothing but party formation based on similar interests/causes and fighting for it through available political means. Threat to a language, culture, uplifment of downtrodden,  etc all are I believe issues to be dealt politically
